How Grid1x calculates Grid Score, verifies reviews, and ranks products in category browse and reports.
Overview
Grid Score is Grid1x's 0–5 composite rating for software products. It appears alongside star ratings and review counts on product profiles, category pages, and comparison views.
Grid Score is designed to surface products with consistent buyer satisfaction and sufficient review volume - not pay-to-play placement. Vendor subscription plans do not change organic Grid Score calculations.
What goes into Grid Score
Review ratings: verified buyer star ratings are the primary input. We weight recent reviews more heavily than older ones so scores reflect current product quality.
Review volume: products need a minimum number of published reviews before Grid Score is shown publicly. Low-volume listings may display star averages without a Grid Score until they meet the threshold.
Satisfaction dimensions: where available, ease of use, quality of support, and ease of setup contribute to buyer-facing satisfaction breakdowns on product pages.
Review verification
Reviews come from authenticated Grid1x accounts. We moderate for spam, conflicts of interest, and policy violations described in our Community Guidelines.
Vendor review campaigns may invite customers by email, but invited reviewers must submit their own experience. Incentives tied to star rating or review text are not permitted.
We may remove reviews that fail verification or violate platform rules. Removed reviews are excluded from Grid Score recalculation.
Category rankings and reports
Category browse order and seasonal Grid Reports highlight products with strong Grid Scores, review momentum, and satisfaction trends within a category.
Paid vendor plans may increase profile visibility through premium pages, badges, and analytics - but do not purchase higher organic Grid Scores or guaranteed category rank positions.
Updates and transparency
We may refine Grid Score weighting as review volume grows across categories. Material methodology changes are announced on our Press page.
